The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend a Candidate Forum for the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 Board of Educationat at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, in the Burnsville Room, upper level, Diamondhead Education Center, 200 W. Burnsville Parkway. The forum will moderated by Tom Taylor, President of Shippers Resource Center.
Candidates for three four-year terms on the board of education include:
- DeeDee Currier, 12501 Nicollet Ave., Burnsville
- Scott Hume, 804 E. 134th St., Burnsville
- Eric Miller, 14574 Princeton Ave., Savage
- Darcy Schatz, 1862 Gold Trail, Eagan
All four will be on the ballot Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
"We are pleased to help provide this opportunity for voters to become informed on this important race," said Tom Taylor. "I encourage people to attend the forum or watch it on TV or on the district's website."
The forum will be recorded and available for viewing on the district's website at
www.isd191.org and also on the district's educational Channel 18.
The terms of board members DeeDee Currier, Ron Hill and Sandy Mackall expire on Dec. 31. Hill and Mackall did not file for re-election. Newly-elected board members will begin their terms in January 2017.
